I assess the person's ability to make the particular decision identified in the referral, taking account of the relevant information, communication needs and available support.

The assessment is directed to the decision and circumstances in question. The team will confirm the scope, documentation and reporting arrangements before booking.

Please identify the decision, relevant date, records available and any legal deadline. Retrospective questions and litigation-related instructions may require a separately agreed scope.
